I kind of wish this "question" made some sense:
Bush 41 admitted that the liberation of Kuwait was about oil, as well as liberation; he got a ration of crap for it, but I could accept that rationalization.
Bush 43, learning from dad's experience has never admitted the invasion of Iraq was about oil, and now is getting a ration of crap for that. I think he should have taken the track of his dad. His dad got less crap then he has.
Oil is a strategic resource of the US. We are out. We are tied to the Middle East as our source, or at least one source, and that suck us into the infernal politics of religious fanatics who view us as being a nation founded by Satanist. Oh fun, right?
As to what Bush does in Iraq is of little consequence to me, but I would like to see him wind down that mess, and get out before too much longer. At some time the Iraqi people are going to have to settle things on their own, and we do not need to be in the middle of that.

So the rest of you are aware, this country does not need Middle East oil. There is no real dependence on foreign oil. We produce plenty and could produce more, but wells all over Texas and Oklahoma have been capped. The entire Middle East plan is to establish permanent military bases in the Middle East. We can't justify sliding in and building them without some backup story. While we are in Iraq, at least two and probably more permanent military bases are being constructed. The dependence on foreign oil story is just that, a story. It offers us a way to 'protect the vital interests of the United States', and gives us a better position to defend our Israeli allies in the event that they are threatened. The United States armed Saddam, we trained his military (under the oh so special Reagan administration), we even taught them how to handle an invasion by a more powerful army by falling back and giving the illusion that is was over, then busting *** on their morale by picking them off a few at a time with planted explosions, snipers, etc...etc....etc. Sometime when the opportunity presents itself, compare the persons pulling George Bush's strings with the ones that wrote the scripts for the actor president, Reagan. The more stuff changes, the more it stays the same. The sad thing is, that the party in charge has followed Rush's lead in convincing their supporters that they are either 100% for everything they do, or they are the enemy. This country should know better, and the people in charge remind me of Middle School kids arguing over a game. I am saddened and disheartened by this nonsense.

if you want to get someone's attention or ask them something and get a real answer, try to make sense.
I suspect you are sympathetic to the groups in Iraq that want to keep the Iraqi people under control with fear and tyranny.
If it was such a great way to run things, then they should have their leaders run in the elections.
We are not leaving Iraq any time soon, moron.
Yeah our president and his people mislead the world and the rest of the United States into supporting our war with Iraq, but we are there now and must make the best of it.
If you want to make a statement, make an intelligent one, not incoherent ramblings.

Write a complaint to the president and stop telling us. We all know some where inside of us, that Bush is after oil, not Saddam. Email him or something, but don't bother us.

Why should Americans feel guilty about a war for Oil? We need Oil for our lifestyle to continue. It is the Lifeblood of our economy. Everyone who carries a sign *No War For Oil* I bet they would scratch the *NO* off of it in a second once they go six weeks without heating oil and gasoline.

maybe bush is, but, most americans believe (or we hope) that the iraqi people are being freed to rule themselves democratically. no one should live under the tyranny of a "ruler" like saddam - who will kill his own people! it's horrible that this has gone on so long, and i hope our troops are removed SOON. but, you know, if the insurgents would STOP KILLING we would have left a LONG TIME AGO! IDIOTS!!! ALL OF THEM (the insurgents!)! they don't stop to think for a second! just blow it up!

That's nice, but if the terrorists would stop shooting at American troops, they would leave. As long as you keep trying to kill american troops and innocent women and children, they are going to stay there.

How much oil do you use per day? You sound very angry. What are you doing to help the situation.
