baby girl, that could have been you right? you should be the one who's got it all. baby girl, what you're feeling is envious. i'm sure you're happy for your friend. find that special someone and divert your focus.

You are so brave for admitting that, a lot of people wouldn't go there. That's your first step and you should feel proud of yourself!! If you start to feel it get out of hand, talk to your friend and let her know what your dealing with right now....just in case you say or do something that may make her think your really mad with her about something....sometimes we can be really cutting when we're talking to someone and the only reason we are is because we want them to feel bad for either hurting us or just because we're jealous of them in some way. Let her in on the situation and tell her to bear with you, it's nothing personal, it's just something tough that you have to get through right now.
I'm sure that if she's a true friend then she will totally understand and maybe even relate to your feelings....she could have felt the same way at one time or another. Focus on yourself and making yourself feel better as well, join in on a hobby, volunteer and make new friends who can lift you up and not DOWN!
Good Luck, You can do it!

It's normal to be jealous becuase you just are not happy with your own life so it's hard to be happy for her. I've been there where for whatever reason I'm not happy and want something, like to own a home and when my friends are buying homes I get jealous and can't be happy and I've even hoped it won't work out for them. Misery loves company. Just pray God will soften your heart. Be grateful for what you do have and count your blessings. Your time will come, pray for God to bring you a great man to have a great relationship with. Your at least recognizing your negative feelings and confessing them, that is the first step. Confessing it to her & apologizing to her for your feelings will help you a lot and it may explain to her why you don't seem happy for her, she may sence it.

Oh, the ugly old green-eyed monster is rearing its head. You feel this way because you are jealous; you see her happiness and think, "that should have been me! Why does SHE get to be happy and I don't?"

Nothing good can come out of feelings like this. Until you put away your own pain and bitterness, you will not be able to find your own happiness.

ok...so your jealous, thats cool, its normal....but you need to talk to her about your feelings. A couple of months ago cosmo labeled this malady as "frenvy" being envious of friends whos luck is a little better then yours. Try going to cosmo online to see the full article. And remember that the grass isnt always greener on the other side.
