Well, being with my bf is convenient, because he gave me a place to live. But, I love him too. I think it's possible to have a combination of convenience and love.

Life and love are what you make of them. If you beleive in love, you can and will atrract those that do as well. If you are a pessimist, then will attract the same. Love exists because I have experienced it and I know others who have and still do. I think the perception of love is what may have been lost. Many people think love is the "feeling" they get when they meet someone they click with and begin a relationship, when in reality thats just a chemical reaction that is temporary. Love is sticking things out when it seems you dont "feel" like you want to be there anymore, love is the opposite of selfishness, not hate. Love is the stability of knowing you have a lifelong partner who is reliable and trustworthy. Love is something that really takes years to develope, but should last a lifetime.

Love can be found in today's society. But if you jump into bed immediately you are only lusting after that person and you never get to know the real person.
If you look for love in a bar etc you won't find it. Look in the right places.
You have to be willing to give 100 per cent to the relationship as well as the other person doing the same. If you are looking for what you can get out of the relationship it will fail.
Their are relationships of convience but also a lot of very unhappy people in them. They usually end.

Mmmm.... BOTH. Having relationships that are convenient are easier because, well... they're convenient. I'm SOOOOO happily married and have a little boy on the way and I steer away from clubs because I got that stuff out of my system a long time ago. They aren't even fun anymore. At the same time, I have a friend visiting and she is into the more "convenient" relationships. Best advice for someone that wants a long-lasting relationship: Marry your best friend. Aubrey and I can talk about ANYTHING and we laugh and cut up all the time. We can't stand to be apart.

Love can be found today. People just need to look in the right place and be somewhat picky about it. We are a society of I want everything right now and then settle for what we have only to find out later that is not what we really wanted. With patience and time love can be found.

Yes to both. There is still love in todays society. Otherwise marriages would not still be happening.

But many of the marriages that are happening are for convenience.

Have you actually examined the world? There are plenty of both at all times, and always have been. This is not an opinion, it's an observation.
