Yes :-)
In fact, "huemul" is the common name of one of the Hippocamelus species, Hippocamelus bisulcus. It's distributed in southern South America, in western Patagonia.
The Andean deer, Hippocamelus antisensis, is known also as Andean huemul or "taruca".
So yes, they're closely related species.
