A fun place to go on a date? Try Dave and Busters if you haven't been there. They got a good resturant and tons of arcade games to play.

A nice daytime date would be the Dallas Zoo. You can take the DART train there (Red Line).

An air-conditioned option would be the Dallas Art Museum. The free McKinney Avenue trolley runs behind it, so you can take it up McKinney to the Hard Rock Cafe or a number of other restaurants. The trolley goes all the way to West Village, where there's a movie theater, more restaurants, and the Mockingbird Lane DART station. While downtown, visit the Chase building (the one with the big, rectangular hole in it near the top) during business hours and ask to visit the sky lobby. It's over 40 stories up, and you get great views of the city. Best of all, it's FREE.

Fort Worth Zoo is much nicer than the Dallas zoo.

The Botanic Garden in Fort Worth is nice place to have a picnic. There's the Dallas Arboretum too.

Grapevine Lake has a few parks that would be nice for a romantic picnic too. And there's the Gaylord Texas, a nice upscale hotel that in their loby has all of "Texas" in it, i.e. the San Antnio River walk, landscapes from all pver Texas all scaled down and under one roof. Really nice.

Spend some time in the West Village. Lots of great restaurant, bars, movie theater. It can be romantic and fun.

If you live in North Dallas, you can go to The Shops at Legacy. It is the same type of venue.

And there is also Highland Park Village, if you would like to spend more.

Check out the links below for each:

Oak Lawn area on Cedar Springs Rd. It is primarily a gay district, but good restaurants and large clubs. Many straight people venture there because it is so much fun and always activity.
