How is abortion death if the fetus is nonviable?

You're absolutely right. Abortion (if kept within the first trimester) is not murder, by the traditional definition. However, I am very pro-life. That fetus will become a human being.. a human being with every freedom and right that we have. Babies don't choose to die.

Actually god has everything to do with creating life, so if you don't want anyone to use that in their answer, then don't ask a question about killing babies! By the way even though it is considered "nonviable", if you would not get an abortion you would have a live baby, so that means they are people too and deserve a chance at life. I would also like to add that if women are content with having sex they need to be content with the responsibility that can come with it.

I dont see how you can say that abortion isnt death..even as early as 5wks the baby has already formed body parts..everyone has a right to live. The baby kicks,eats,drinks,pees,moves..on and on. Are you aware that at 16wks i can put a flashlight to my belly and the baby will move from the direction of the light..it see's, hears and most of all has the right to live. If a woman does not want a baby she does not have to keep it. Take a good look at some of the info on the web..watch the silent screams video it shows a abortion..when the razor goes into the womb the baby's heartbeat goes from 144..straight to 200..fear the baby even early on gets scared. Sometimes unfortunate things happen to woman..rape, abuse..i understand and I am sensitive to these things, however lots of things in this life are unfortunate..cancer,abuse,accidents that kill..this does not give people a right to kill.. abortion is no different. There are lots of couples waiting in line to adopt new born babies b/c they have not been blessed to have a family of their own. Adoption is not like it use to be most of the time the mother can pick the adopted parents. I am sick of people saying that these babies are not VIABLE..they are humans.. they feel pain, hunger ect.

Abortion is the ending of a potential, not of a reality..... You have the Potential to learn Chinese, if you spent the time. Until the fetus is able to survive on its own, it is a parasite..., and just as an aside, 2000 years ago, there were .3Billion people on this planet. Beginning in the 1750, the line is almost vertical up, so that now only 250 years later, there are almost 6.5billion..... All this world needs is more people.........:>D And while you're at it, contribute to the life of this planet by having no children. Our governments need to do all they can do to have this planet's population get no larger.... in fact what we need is a plague, and in Africa they are getting one AIDS. Maybe a good dose of bird flu will do it in the northern hemisphere. This planet is the only home we, as humans will ever have. If the species is to survive, we need to start taking care of it, and that means to get over this idiotic idea that abortion is murder -- it is not. Any female should have absolute authority over her body and her right not to reproduce. Well, enuff.... you get the idea. Answer your question???

Well, some would consider abortion the death of a fetus because the fetus loses it's chance to become viable. Also, the cells that make up the fetus will die, so there is some biological death involved.

Abortion is murder. as soon as the sperm and the egg join that baby is a living person. by 5 weeks it has a heart beat. who ever can kill a unborn child (in my book) my as well have killed a adult and its even worse than killing a adult because at least an adult would have been able to try and protect its self. My cousin had a abortion because the baby was severly deformed and her mom and the dad didnt want a deformed baby in the family. (She wanted it) well to abort it without harming my cousin (she was right at the cut off limit for abortion.) The indused labor and made her have it. the clean it up and raped it up just like they would have if she was keeping it. Layed it on a table beside of her and MADE her sit there for 4 hours crying and watching her baby fight for its life before it finally died. So i guess she wasnt spared the pain after all. who could sit and watch a baby die without some emotional scars??? She still regreats it!! Abortion how ever it is done when ever and where ever it is done it is murder.

That's the big question, isn't it? When does a fetus become a viable human being? Some would argue at conception and others would argue at birth. You could argue the medical facts all you want, but people are still going to take sides on this issue based upon emotion and/or religion.

It has been recorded on video that a fetus moves from abortion tools and opens it's mouth and screams when it is riped apart.
Also, at 6 weeks of pregnancy you can see clear fingers and toes and facial features with a 3 D sonogram machine. Don't tell me that fetus are no viable. Be thankful that your mom didn't choose this route for you!

Even if the fetus is non viable outside the woman's body, it still is living organism that will evolve into a well defined baby. That fetus is part of the mother and father. Think of it this way.., your arm is non viable off your body, if it is still attached then it will have all the nutrients from your body to keep it alive.

the feduse is alive u know if it wasnt u would have a dead kid in there it has to have a heart beat to even live so that make is alive and the inbillical cord give the baby food how do u think the fetus take in the food if it is not alive ??? a fetuse is a fetuse when u are 9 months pregant how do u think the baby comes out alive??? just use ur brain !!! as soon as the sperm get to the egg a baby starts and it gets it body parts and bam its alive docters who say it is not are fool of s.h.i.t
