I think it will be a thrilling match for the fans of unimaginative, defensive-minded play. It will also be a fantastic final for the few Italian and French fans from Nevereverland who really and truly believe the French team is really French, and that the Italians have never, ever bribed any official. Those who know better know that Germany is obliged to return the favor the Italians gave them sixteen years ago in the final (fabricated penalty late in the second half...).

For the rest of us (the vast majority), the Germany v Portugal looks like a better game, and we're already dreaming of watching the really fun teams like Argentina, Spain or Brazil play in South Africa 2010.

hell no, this isn't disappointing at all, France got a really crazy comeback, everyone thought they wouldn't do good against Togo without Zidane and Abidal, n they even beat brazil too and Italy too really surprised me beating Germany , i would've thought that it would be either Germany,Argentina,Brazil in the finals so i'm looking forward to this :)

The only disappointing part is that Italy is in the finals because of two terrible calls against US and Australia. The only reason Italy is in finals is because refs helped them win those games with penalties that resulted in Italy winning those games.

I agree...Germany vs. France would have been much more appealing. Of course the next thing you know, the German team would be rolling though Poland and things would all go downhill from there.

Yes, very. I'm not even going to be watching the final; I'm more psyched about the consolation final than the actual one. I could care less who wins between those two teams.
