The $64,000 question. It is a concept common to virtually all human culture, probably since the earliest cavemen. If you believe in the indestructibility of the soul, it has to go somewhere. Even sci-fi has possible answers: remember "Star Wars" and the Force? It is similar to the eastern idea of nirvana.

Maumitta. Only you will know if there is life after death via practical experience. You can know quite literally what St.Paul's Gospel refered to as "Dying daily". It is possible. And you will leave beyond fear and as spirit, ever aware, ever close to the Divine Essence from which you are.

Don't know. If we knew that, what would be the need for all the different ideas of what happens after we die?

of course, its the purpose of life
to figure out how not to die
god didnt just create life, but actually incarnates
into us,,,,,,we ignorant humans, ignorant worms and whoever,
and tries to become omnipotent again
this creates purpose
