A baby is called a calf. It can fall into different categories, like a feeder calf and later a steer, but it is a calf. A heifer is a female cow that has been allowed to mature past the age of two years and is able to reproduce. Males are divided into 2 categories, bulls and steers. And lets face it, steers dont usually live past two to three years.

A heifer is a full grown female cow. It's baby is called a calf. If you think I'm still wrong stop at a farmers home who has some cattle and ask him. He will tell you the same.

A baby cow is either a heifer calf or a bull calf. Heifer is a term for female cattle until they have finished their first lactation, at which point they are cows.

A calf is only a heifer if is a girl calf. If it is a boy calf it is a baby bull. I believe Buffalos have calfs as do Moose and Elk, but Cows definitely have calfs. I think you might be mis-informed.

There is no such thing as a baby COW. There are baby CATTLE. They are called calves. There are bull calves(males) and heifer calves (females) and steers(castrated males.) Heifers are baby females, but cows are just mature bovine that have given birth.

You do realize that your questions makes no sense, rephrase it. I work wtih cattle, and I have yet to hear anyone call our "baby cows" anything other than "calf." So, what on earth are you talking about? If it's a trick question, as I said, it makes absolutely no sense.
