It would have to begin with somehow stopping the politicians from baiting people with racial non-issues. This is a good start.

Racism is a problem in this country!
In my daily life I encounter people claiming that in the name of "diversity" they can exclude white men from higher education and employment. This is racism.
How can we stop racism? We need liberal politically correct Nazi's to recognize that white is in the rainbow of diversity, and excluding based on race is a crime.
Why is "helping the world with peace" an American responsibility?

The problem is not the children,it's us so we have 2 look n think of our selves first, b4 we think of our children.Cuz our children will only inherit n take with them what they see from us,for example the way we behave, react 2 people, talk about others etc.The first school is the home,so parents should try 2be role models n good teachers by behaving according 2 the moral principles n God's way.

Stop hating other people in front of your children. It only passes on the hate from generation to generation. Let them find out on their own what and who they believe in. A person is so much more than a color or religion or what have you. Everything is seen differently through someone else's eyes. Give them a chance to show it to you and your children.

The only way to stop children learning it is to stop the adults spouting it.
It is a funny thing on Answers, entering on any level that does not have American questions = virtually no racism, sexism, ageism or bad language, porn or rudeness.
Entering on Answers that includes American questions = wow, didn't realise there was so much biggotry out there!!!!!

Although this may sound elementary. I think as parents we start at home with our own children. Each one teach one. If each household started to teach about the differences in other people whether racial or economic it would make a difference. It's not going to happen overnight, but it really could happen. Also respecting the differences, not hate someone because they are different, it may not be your thing, but you can respect that it is theirs.

racism is taught to children when they are young either by parents, family members, or someone else they may emulate. If everyone in the world did not show racism to their children at all in any degree then eventually our society would grow out of it.

We can stop categorizing people by race, and having black churches, hispanic organizations, etc. We should not have 1 set of rules for 1 race and another set for another race. Instead people should be treated equally according to their abilities.

You can never fully erase it, there will always be someone who wants to blame their problems on another race. Crime is up-blame the blacks, no jobs available-blame the Mexicans, can't get a good job-the white man is keeping you down, failed a test-Asian screwed up the curve. It's just a way to avoid responsibility for oneself.
