I have a beginning and a end, but i cant think of a beginning, I'm thinking of making it only 4 pages in a book of short stories

It will never be you're story if you dont come up with the idea on your own. You most likely wont get very far in it, and you will be come frustrated. Think long and hard about what YOU think is a good idea for a book.

I won't tell you what to write as maybe give you an idea of how to come up with it on your own.
Think progression. Find a starting point and then find the ending point. After that just fill in the middle with the wonderfull things that come to your mind.
Without progression there would never be the farm boy gone wizard. Or the orphan that became a king. These are basic ideas that have a start and an end and you need only fill in the middle.

There is an endless variety of things you could write about. It all depends on who your audience is. That will depend on how you write. What you write about is a different story. You could write mysteries, romances, comedies, a thriller, or on a subject you are interested. You could write about a particular thing like an aspect of the arts. You could write children's book. It all depends on you. This is your book so make it your own. Add your own special something to it. Make it your own, be original, and have fun with it.

Think of some issues: Why are your abductors fighting the war? Freedom, power, money, territory? How did it start? Your characters have to have some kind of motivation, otherwise it's boring.

Make like an transformers theme, but with living creatures. You can see their bones and skin rip out of their body's, and transform into another creature.
