so you are saying that if i die right now and i didn't want to do anything then i would have to go into the light? what if i just want to stay and listen to the radio in my room? will i still be sucked into the white light?

Because, spirits/ghosts are people or animals with unfinished business, they stay till it's finished, otherwise, they have no reason to stay.
