Should the Chargers have held on to Drew Brees. Why didn't they trade Brees earlier when they could've gotten something for him?

They ultimately had to make a decision. Either go with Brees and trade Rivers, or let Brees go. Obviously you know what they chose.

Think of this as the Bengals 3 years ago. They had the big question of either letting Carson Palmer start, or continue where they were going and let Jon Kitna. They chose Carson, they didn't have a good year that year, but look at what they have become now. I think the same thing will happen to the Chargers. Phillip won't be good this year, but next year he will be a regular starting QB and the Chargers will be in the same place as they were last year, but now with a younger QB.

I'm a charger fan, and that is a tough situation. I think Drew is awesome, but the defense needed serious help, and they couldn't trade Brees earlier. He was their best chance to win last year, and to trade him in the middle of the season wouldn't have done any good for the team.

He should do ok but I think he will be a step down from Brees. However having LaDanian Tomlinson and Antonio gates to hand off and pass to would help any quarterback. He should put up decent numbers but he lacks experience. Im guessing something like 22-28 tds and 15 ints and high 2000s for yards and I see them going something like 9-7

He'll be solid because he has LT and Gates around him.

What a nice draft class: ELI and Big Ben and Rivers.

that is staggering to me how the media can classify each and every reaction to their questions as "trash communicate". what's it the Chargers are meant to assert going right into a championship playoff recreation? some thing like: "we are going to attempt , yet likely lose" "we fairly do not anticipate to win, yet we are only satisfied to be there" may you want absolutely everyone that concept like that being on your team? they ought to frame of mind the game with a "we are going to win" mind-set, or why play? If i changed into the top coach, i'd opt to take heed to not some thing yet confident, determined enthusiasm that announces that they're going to win the game. And what may you do in case you've been down on the sidelines and there have been one hundred human beings yelling nasty issues at you? may you in ordinary words stand there silently and take it? specialist athletes ought to face there recreation after recreation and pay interest to each and every of the foul, nasty, advise issues that followers say to them, yet in the journey that they are asserting some thing lower back, it really is trash speaking. so a techniques as i'm worried, each and every of the crap that those adult men get from the followers, they are completely justified in verbally lashing lower back at them. they are in ordinary words human, or perhaps as someone screams insults at you, in the top, you receives to the point you've had adequate. followers act like they could merely yell some thing they prefer on the gamers and the gamers are merely meant to take a seat there quietly and take it.
