Working in the geo-political/military business, I have access to certain information that doesn't get released publicly. Having typed that, no news group gets it right all the time. The worst is, by far, CNN. Ted Turner and his socialist regime have gone way off the deep end here. Fox News tried to counter that with a more right wing approach; but calling themselves fair and balanced isn't exactly true. I think people give Fox a hard time because they are so used to seeing a very left media that when one swings out to the right it's a huge shift. One thing that sways my opinion is that CNN will have one person on there telling you what to think where Fox will have a representative from the left and the right debating the issue for you so you can decide. Either way, take everything you read and watch with a grain of salt and don't be like those celebrities that just repeat what they hear on CNN as their own personal opinion.

"Bias" is not something you can quantify. Bias is a perspective on reality. TV networks answer to what sells and they are constantly trying to gauge what the public likes and doesn't like. So, what happens is if you live in a region of the country that is very pro-war (e.g., San Diego CA) you will see this perspective more on the local channels. If you live in an area of the country that is more anti-war or even liberal (e.g., New York City) you will see a more diversified perspective. It's not the networks as much as it is what the networks think the public in a given region want to hear. TV news is not informative as much as it is something more like entertainment, and entertainment is judged by an audience. The networks know this and they all use it for the sake of ratings. That is bias, and no TV news program that I know of is not influenced by it.

None of them are really unbiased but i prefer BBC first, then Fox news channel. HOW CAN PEOPLE SAY fox news channel is super right? The rest of the media is just so far left. I know a soldier who works in SOCOM in Iraq and one day there was a roadside bomb. When the bomb exploded, they exited their vehicles according to protocal. Upon exiting, they saw two armed gunmen with ak-47s aimed at them. When the began firing, two other IRAQI CIVILIANS jumped in front of the gunmen and protected our soldiers while losing their lives. This story never made the news and I'm sure some people are saying right now this story is made up or fake but it comes from one of my friends in Iraq who this directly happened to

MSNBC, they actually still have News on. They also have your standard stanted commentators, but when it's delivering a story they present mostly just the facts, with a lot less critique.

Anybody who says Fox news, is probably not very bright. Fox is basicly the conservative soapbox. If they report a dog getting hit by a car, they try to say it was Bill Clinton who kicked the dog into the traffic!

No news is perfect, they all have a bias of some sort. For me, I think FOX News is trying to be the most truthful. CNN and the like are as bad as AlJazzerra feeding people what "they" want you to know. In the midst of the N. Korean crisis, FOX has the news on it as its gathered, CNN?? They had who was being nominated for Emmies. Its all on what you call news and what news information you really want.

It really is all a matter of opinion, but I'd say that FOX tries the hardest to display both sides of the story.

But you're very right in saying that it's all propaganda.

There is none. Due to ownership of media channels there are constantly influencing factors. Some are less subtly influencing than others, however you merely have to watch during election time to see just how biased everyone is.

Almost any channel but FOX. In Europe, Fox cannot even call themself a new station because they are so biased and inaccurate. In Europe, they have standards.

Sadly unbiased news no longer exist in this country. At best we hear the opinion of someone else instead of strictly reporting of the facts. At worse news is used to bias opinions of people against others.
