What happened to those people?

I believe the two lead characters went on to make other children series as writers and dirctors. As for the Animals they didn't have the same luck. Although i do think Freddy's costume was adapted for the movie Max Keeble Strikes Back where it was given some kilts and call Mc Dougle. Henrietta Hippo and the Owl, those costumes have not been seen since. Although i think the Owl's actor became a character actor. The voice is familiar.

yes, I HATED that arrogant owl and that stupid fat hippo chick. the frog was okay, I suppose. but they all had really irritating voices. and the human guy and girl who danced around and sang were so sappy.

we loved that show and according to wikipedia the hosts are married and living well.
