Well, there are 2 systems actually... one that will cost $500 and one $600.
Of course, games will run $60...
The $600 system is the only option in my opinion... add a couple of games and your on your way to $800 plus.
Will I be buying one?
Hell yes.
Am I glad it costs so much?
Hell yes.
Hopefully it will keep alot of children off the system. I'm tired of having to play online games with 12 year olds.
I'm glad SONY is putting so much into the PS3... they've spent over 400 million developing this new technology. The games will be obviously superior to the 360 and with Blue-ray technology and the ability to make the PS3 a central control hub for your entertainment system, it will be the next step in home entertainment.
I can't wait.

They aren't cheap, but Sony and Buena Vista production companies are both switching to blu-ray discs, blu-ray disc players (so far) cost more than $500 on their own, so you may as well buy the PS3.

I would like to, but Sony has decided to charge an outrageous amount for it, and I just don't like paying as much as I would for a decent PC, for just a video game system and THEN still having to shell out even more money for overpriced games.

I think I'll check it out. I dont even play games, but I want to see how NVidia did with the graphics on PS3. It's supposed to be unreal.

yup, but I'm going to get on the pre-order list and then have one when they come out and then since it's coming out in november it's close enough to christmas that I can resell it on ebay and make double what I paid because of spoiled little children and insane rich parents that will buy their children anything!
