I'd love them just the same. And would support them just like any child. But march in a gay parade with them. No.

The only, ONLY march i would ever participate it is a march for pride in being a good person. I'm proud of being a good person, I would be proud of my child if he/she was a good person. I have no reason to be proud to be hispanic, or male, or heterosexual...there are many hispanic murderers, thieves, etc., many male murderers, thieves, etc., many heterosexual murderers, thieves, etc.....get my point? I'm sure there are gay murderers, thieves, etc.
Taking pride in differences segregates. Don't abandon your culture, don't be ashamed of it either, but 99% of cultures where built out of the need for survival, not a need of pride. Aztec artestry was developed to please the Gods so that the crops would grow and they could eat, not to show off and show how proud they where of their culture.
So in short, no I would not march. But not because i don't support the gay comunity. I say let everyperson live their lives, as long as it doesn't have a direct negative effect on mine then I will respect any person equally and treat them with dignity.
Sorry for the rant. Though, I'm actually proud of what I wrote...uhg! Irony!

Inasmuch as science has shown that sexual preference isn't always an option; I would not try to change, much less condemn my gay child. I would do my best to support him/her. But marching in a parade I'm not ready for.

i have many gay friends. I support anyones decision no matter what it is. Because as far as i know this is still a free country. If my child was gay i would do whatever made them happy and if it was for me to march with them, then i would be sportin my shirt that said i am a proud parent of a gay child!

I wouldn't go that far. Just because my child is gay or straight, I don't feel the need to advertise it to everyone. After all, if my child is straight, do they get a hetro-pride parade? No. They just live their life. When I have kids, and if they are homosexual, I will I hope I raise them well enough to know they don't have to advertise who they are.

Don't push your luck. After going crazy for a month or two, I would probably tell my child I loved him or her for who they are - but don't be expecting me to march in any parades celebrating.

Yes I would. I would support my child through everything and be proud to do it. My child's sexual preference would not change my feelings or my love for them.
