So you are doing a 15 minute play, and time is of the esseence? Well, first you should read it outloud to make sure that doing that is within the 15 min. Then, when you have it staged, you need to keep close time of your rehearsals. Your actors need to have their dialog memorized by 1/3 of the way through your practices. Your first practice should be read through around a table -- make sure they understand the play and you are happy with their reading. Next, you need to stage it...block it...puting the actors on stage where you want them. Make sure that actors always are at least 1/4 open to the audience, so they can be seen and heard. During the first 2/3 of practices, you can interrupt during the play, but for the last 1/3, do not interrupt, but take notes and give them to the case IMMEDIATELY after the practice to correct things you did not like. Costumes should be provided by the actors, unless it is historical. Sets are too much to ask for a 15 minute play. Keep things basic. Hope that helps. Remember..practice does not make perfect. Practice makes permanent, so make sure they are doing it the way you want.

k first make sure your script is in the right age group for your actors and actresses then at the first rehersal dont get up and act it out just sit down and read through their lines. Make sure you give your actors a deadline to have all their lines memorized or you could get them to memorize in sections. Your choice! ( its better to give less time but do it in sections so you dont have those last minit peeps trying to memorize on the last possible day. Once you start rehercing on stage for the first couple times dont stop them for every little thing. get a notebook and pen or pencil and write down what they did wrong and AFTER the play is finished then tell them and then try the play again. If they fix the magority of what you said then keep doing that but if they dont remember anything you said and do the play almost exacaly as the first time stop them and make them retry the scene untill it is pretty much the way you want it. Also dont be the mean bad guy. listen to what they have to say, give them breaks and dont overwork them. If they are doing something wrong be nice but tackful if you say it like you want it done exacaly like this and that is final type of thing they might not listen as well.

kk i cant go on and on cause i bet ur probably like when is this going to end so i will stop wrighting those are most of the main things you need to know so cya!

good luck!

Wow! it would be impossible to go over everything from stage right and left to diction and blocking but I can tell you the best thing to do is go to the public library as i am from a small town and know that they have 8 theater books here alone. Another thing to do is call your local high school drama department and ask if they could recommend a student that can help it's good for him and you. I did this a lot when I was in school always for free and have gone on to work on productions from LA to New York ( I will be the production manager on a show going to Hawaii next week ) so all that work in high school paid off in the long run.

I have an MFA in directing. There are so many things its hard to tell where to begin. Your main responsibiltity is to keep the actors from embarrassing themselves while feeling free to express themselves.
