Because money doesn't solve a problem, it just puts a bandaid over it. To solve a problem you have to get a permanent solution for it, and throwing money at it is never the permanent solution.

Why is it always someone else's responsibility to do the work that we all----as humanity---should be doing together? Aren't we, who do not have much money, pushing off the responsibility onto those with a lot of money?
Aren't we, the working class, usually the first to complain with the rich get the breaks? Shouldn't they get breaks if we, the working class, are going to shun all the world's responsibility and put it off onto the rich?

dont you just love it when rich people try to get us poor hard working joes to contribute our hard earned money to organizations and charities. these rich people already have our money as we the public made hem rich so they can just give some of their millions and stop asking the ones who can least afford it. i mean, come on, i get clothes from walmart, do they.
i bet they pay alot more for their jeans than i do. i makes me sick.
if they wer so worried then they wouldn't be living life so high on the hog would they? they'd be making the money and putting it all where their mouths are. YEAH RIGHT!
oh and why is if rich people always get free stuff? they can afford to buy this stuff for themselves. i would be emmbarrassed to accept free stuff if i was rich.

Because rich and famous people are use to being waited on hand and foot, and the thing that gets me is that when it is there birthday or they are having a baby, or promoting something, they always get 10s of thousands of dollars of products for free and you know they can afford them. (Example: When Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had their baby some company actually custom made them a $100,000.00 diamond studded pacifier for free!!! Does that baby really need a diamond studded pacipher?)

hello. I have a mutual begruding for bono. but the ONE campaign will get much more money to Africans than even he can pay for. That is, as long as eight governments give the money that they have committed. They aren't asking for any money from the little people like us (or even bono), just for us to declare that international leaders should take steps to end poverty worldwide. And bono may be many things, but hes using his influence to get all the "stupids" who dont know any better involved.

They want to make sure that everyone is still listening to them so that they can stay rich and famous...In the world of the rich and famous EVERYTHING comes down to Promoting themselves to the public. If they are promoting good causes they public is their friend and buys their stuff. If they act like jerks no one likes them and no one buys their stuff.

If you are referring to the question asked of "us" by Bono, I totally agree with you. As if we possess the secrets of life or something. The way we end poverty is if the greedy, selfish rich people distribute the wealth. They know that is what has to be done but I think it eases their guilty conscious when they interact with us little people.

To make the "common man" feel like their opinion matters in the greater scheme of things. Seriously, do you really think Bono is going to really use this advice?? I highly doubt it.
