first of all, avoid using products formulatted with mineral oil and animal products. These do not get absorbed by the skin and what it does is that it clogs your pores. In fact mineral oil is the 2nd worse thing you could do to your skins health #1 is the sun, it is like rubbing car oil on your skin and exposing yourself to the sun... Animal product come form rendering plants, these plants pick all dead animals from the road, meatmarkets etc and what they do is put them in a huge pot and squash everything inside and boil it the oil that comes to the top is what other companies use to formulate their "beauty" products ... gross i know.. eww lipstick and aghhh .. anyway, the important thing to do is read your ingredients and use the right ones regularly .... also bathing daily cleanses the skin, but it also can dry it out, causing it to look dull, but most importantly, it may cause irritation and remove the natural emolients your body produces to keep it healthy. When you bathe, always use a moisture-rich cleanser, and always pamper your skin with a daily moisturizer. I use arbonne products.... https://secure.myarbonne.com/arbonne/arb... because they are botanically based and you could really see the difference, i had acne and lots of blemishes and my skin has cleared so much, it really is amazing and they have everything for everybody.... theire deep pore cleansing mask and their scrub is just perfect for eliminating the blackheads. Also their face wash is great because it cleanses without drying and removes all traces of makeup and dirt.... works wonderful for me and the bes thing is that you could shop online, receive it in your house and if ther is something you do not like about the products which is rarely to happen, you return the item and they give your money back .... also check this site from the fox news about toxins in beauty products..... http://easylink.playstream.com/ydc/arbon...

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.
In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.
Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.
In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.
If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

This is a really hard question to answer because what may work for one or hundreds of people may NOT work for you. The key is to find what works for YOUR body. I would not suggest trying a lot of different things at once to start because then if you do see results you will not know if it was just one product or a combination. First off I would suggest you drink at least 8 glasses of water daily and eat healthy. Also exercise. With a healthy body you can get rid of toxins better. Water also goes a long way in making your skin look better. Also allow at least 3 weeks of using a product before you determine how it works for you. Some acne/pimple can start weeks before it actually shows up on your face. Like I said just because one thing has worked for some many does not mean it will work for you. First i would try something cheaper and then if it does not work you can move on to more expensive things.
They have plenty of sites on-line for homemade remedies.
Try Nature's Cure acne tablets. That worked for me
Proactive works for some and for others makes it worse
Mary Kay works for a lot of people and so does Avon
I know some people who put neosporin on acne and it dries them up.
These are just a few. I hope this helped!

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Well im not going to suggest Proactive because when i used it it didnt work and it caused my face to itch and my eyelids swell and i didn't even put any on my eyes.
I do recommend going to a dermatologist though...
But besides that i have been putting toothpaste on my problem areas and leaving it on for about 10 to 15 mins and it has actually helped. Its not something that will cure over night but it took a couple of days to really see the difference.
I also use St. Ives products.. They help me out too...I use that when i dont do the toothpaste.. I use the toothpaste every other day....
And on those big, huge bumps that come up every now and then, i take some salt and mix a little hot water and rub it on that place. I would leave it on for about 5 mins.. It will dry it up quicker...
Well i hope all this helps.. Goodluck!

Best thing to do is to drink plenty of water, make sure you sugar intake isn't too much, and eat a well-blanced diet. A lot of what acne comes from is from what's already in the body. Of course hormones play a big role in acne too, so the best thing is to not use a bunch of different types of product on your face, stick with one product at a time.

I use the Clear Skin Regimen at http://www.acne.org. It's a non-profit (so it's free), the guy who created used to suffer from pimples himself. The system works wonders on my face, and its helped countless other people. The best part is that you don't have to order or buy any expensive treatments, everything you need for the Regimen can be found at your local drugstore. Find out more at the website.
In general, for clear skin it helps if you: don't touch/pick at your skin, drink lots of water, wash your hair frequently, change your pillowcases, exercise, wear little make-up (or if needed, hypo-allergenic makeup), and minimize stress.
Another tip is to look up online consumer reviews of acne products before you buy them, using sites like epinions.com or drugstore.com. A great website I use to get cosmetic reviews is makeupalley.com (A mostly women's site). Hope this helps!

I had very bad acne as I was growing up. The only answer unfortunately is time and a good dermatologist. You will grow out of this. Most people do. You will however need to see a good dermatologist.
