I think that vampires are romantic not horrid creatures.

BACK WHEN I WAS A YOUNG LAD PLAYING BASEBALL ON A HOT RED CLAY DIRT FIELD,I TOO DREAMED OF SOMEDAY MAKING THE BIG TIME-I ALLWAYS WANTED TO BE A UMPIRE-IT WAS JUST THOSE PESKY DAY GAMES MAN-I MEAN I WOULD BLOW ALL TO PIECES OUT THERE DURING THE DAY-BUT A NIGHT I COULD UMPIRE TILL THE CRACK OF DAWN-PROVIDED NO CROSSES/HOLY WATER/GARLIC/MIRRORS/WOODEN STAKES WERE ALLOWED IN THE STADIUM-OTHER THAN THAT- I'M GAME!!!

Oh my YES. Its GOT to be romantic to rip open the flesh of some nubile young debutante with your teeth and drink her gushing hot life force. Preferably while she swoons in ecstacy. AND you get to stay up all night!
One bad thing about vampires. As sensual as they are, nothing works below the waist. So much for romance. What happens if the vampire feeds on a drunk? Does HE get drunk? Can avampire get AIDS? How about a blood born STD? Hepatitis? RICKETS? The reason you think its romantic is because youve never seen a movie which shows the downside of being a vampire, except for the whole "Cant go out in the sun, crosses hurt, get that holy water away from me" thing. I wonder why no ones ever written about the suicide rate among vampires. Even they must lose their will to live after a couple thousand centuries.

The romantic side you see of being a vampire, is only like that in books ,and TV. Vampires are creatures that kill for a living, they drink the blood of children, women, and men. They are monsters! I am also a big fan of them, but i see them as being truly disturbed monsters. I mean you might think it'll be great to live forever, to see more wars, to see more diseases, to see more struggles, and the extinction of mankind as we know it .But its not your, family will die, and it'll be you lonely. Vampires usually love other vampires or humans and make them vampires, for they are afraid of them dieing .But can you be with someone for eternity ,when the average marriage nowadays doesn't last three months .People fantasize that being a vampire is a truly wonderful thing but it isnt,it is a lonely existence, you cant eat ,and taste that pizza anymore, you cant drink that Starbucks frappe, you're no longer human you re dead, you just haven't got to see the light yet and you'll live in complete darkness forever. I hope i didn't crush anyones dreams or fantasies but that's the realness of it.

well, in some stories, when you are changed, it hurt really bad because your body is dying. that would suck. to live forever, that could be bad. to live until the end of time. and not be able to die. never knowing what happens when you die. you would go insane. i have vampire teeth. i like the taste of blood. but to have to kill to survive for all eternity. you can only live on animal blood for so long. it does not sustain you. would you all really want to live forever? and when the human race dies out. there is no more blood to feed apon, then what. you wander whats left of the world, with no escape, no peace, no solitude. just becoming weaker as time goes on. until you are somewhere. unable to die. never knowing peace...it is probable, that you will all be spared from this existance...

Ya ummm, live forever as a night owl?...I'm in!! I'm already a creature of the night who hates the sun, I just need to have a run in with a bloodsucker. Despite the romance though - being bitten looks frickin' painful!! LoL But for eternal youth its worth it (no pain, no gain!!) :)

Yes and no. Being a vampire would be extremely liberating, but it would be a very lonely existence.

I have a natural v-shaped hair formation and canine teeth twice as large as my regular teeth, i think I already am one, I just don't go for blood, and i'm not immortal.
