The world is full of hypocritical people because their stated beliefs do not match their actual beliefs. Actions speak louder than words: the way people act will tell you about what they really believe, even if they are not conscious of it.

Everything isn't black and white. I know Walmart sucks and treats their employees badly and is using the equivalent of slave labor from China--but it's 20 minutes farther to go to Target (also buying from China, but perhaps the employees have health benefits). Going to the closer but more evil Walmart uses less gas. (here we have all sorts of political and environmental concerns). Do we save gas and add money to Walmart's evil empire or waste gas and go to Target which is marginally "less bad". As a vegetarian, do I wear plastic shoes that last 6 months before they spend an eternity in the landfill or do I opt for leather shoes that may last a year or two from a cow that was sliced up alive because it's too expensive to make sure all the cows are dead before they are cut up into "meat".
The world is a tough place, we do the best we can and make excuses for the rest. I am sure you are also a hypocrit in some fashion, we all are. No finger pointing.

The world isn't full of hypocritical people, it is full of greedy, thoughtless, foolish, uneducated, rather stupid, and childish people who ALSO happen to be hypocrites at times.

When you get older and enter the workplace and have multiple little people dependent upon you for sustenance, you may have to become slightly hypocritical in order to survive and provide. (Maybe not; but many do have to.) But hang on to your idealism as long as you can; it is one of the most charming qualities of youth.

People say one thing and really another. Don't judge others, live life from heart do not come from YOUR ego place.
Ego is past and future.

Life is supposed to be happy..it is what you make of it. Most people live life from their ego..that is why the world is so messd up. I don't care what others think of me. JR older female and a caring person.

It is an unfortunate character trait shared by most of us (if not all!). Some can control it a bit better than others.
