Why would anyone want to see the poor white trash in Louisiana?

Are you referring to poor people in Louisiana in general or are you referring to the Hurricane Katrina Victims? Many celebrities have visited New Orleans. Many of them gave donations of money and/or necessities. As for just the regular poor people in Louisiana, non-Katrina victims, why would they? There are poor people in every state. Famous people are under no obligation to rid America's poor population conditions. Many celebrities give donations to charities all the time that help the poor. They can only do so much.

I know that several famous people have been to the New Orleans area and have donated and raised money for the rebuilding of that area, due to Hurricane Katrina. And as for the person that answered you saying that Louisiana people were poor white trash.......................you can't categorize people. There are all kinds of people in Louisiana and all over the world. We are not all alike on the outside, but it's what's on the inside that counts.

Famous and rich people never come see the poor people in Mississippi either. Why should they worry about one state when there is 49 other states that have poor people?? What are they gonna get out of seeing poor people?

...Because Southern high society never recovered from the Civil War. Most of them died or moved.

That said, I'm all for reclaiming Louisiana's heritage. I want to retire to Clinton one day, truly. (Where I will, of course, sit on my big plantation porch with friends and neighbors and watch the rain over mint juleps!)

I'd strongly encourage anyone to visit--rich, famous, or otherwise. You just might want to stay.
