Popular.
Don't put much emphasis on "popular. It dies out quickly.
Stick with a very few close friends, and have a really great time doing whatever you think is the most fun! Go shopping, or to a theme park or something; do something different like have a magazine party - make yourself the headliners of teen magazines by photoshopping your pic's into scanned magazine pages and make up story lines and interviews.

That sounds like a great idea! My Super Sweet 13. I didn't have a big party for my 13th, but I definitley should have. I say, party away! For a little over 400 dollars you can have a great party. Make it awesome and memorable. Maybe it could be a black and white party which is a little fancier. (I'm 14 and I know some people who have done that) Or maybe you could do it a little more casual. A beach theme, like you were thinking, sounds great! Everyone can wear "beachy" clothes and you can have limbo and what not. If you have a nice-sized backyard, you can probably do something to make it look beachy, possibly adding sand and a volleyball area. Or, if you'd rather have it inside you could decorate the walls and even the floors. It sounds great!

I thnk Hawaiian theme sounds great, and its your birthday. So celebrate!!!! Entertaining is a good way to socialize, and the better you at planning the better the party. When your 16 is here you'll be a professional. A simple way to make a for a nice party, is ambiance, candles, hawaiian lays to greet the guests, have guests wear hawaiian attire, shirts, and skirts. Sip drinks out of coconut bowls, and maybe do the limbo!!!! oh yeah and put the movie Blue Crush or Into the Blue on the tv Have a blast!!!!

very nice party how much cost.Hawaiian is wayy overdone and its kinda lame.Pretty in Pink? Rock & Roll? Pick any of your favorite actresses or singer and pick a theme based on their style. I agree with the girl who has the hotel room idea too, but that could get over your budget. Ask your parents to pitch in a small amount of money. A regular old party is fine too! Happy Birthday!

ok Hawaiian is a great start but try to work your way to other options. If you choose hawaiin than go with a sunset kinda laid back theme.if you have a pool then you have your beach. Some lays and coconuts and great music and you will have a great time.
advice:
1.go with your first choice.
2.have fun with it dont be stressed
3.Invite people you get along with not people that will blow you off or anything.people that you can have a great time with cause you dont need a great theme but just have fun with your friends!

you're only turning thirteen. it's no biggie at all. save your money for your Sweet 16. thirteen is no big deal at all, nothing changes, you don't get your license or anything special. but if you must do this then yeah since it's summer i've always gone with a tropical theme like with leis, smoothies, tiki lights and torches. i wouldn't spend $400.00 on it though. happy birthday and have fun.

Why not save your money and have a smaller more intimate party with your friends. Rent a hotel suite for the night with 4 of your closest friends and have room service live in luxury for your birthday.
