We already have three boys and really, really want a girl. Does anyone one know if there are "methods" or certain times to try and conceive to make sure we have a girl?

You may have some people answer your question and say yes and give a reason why but the scientific truth is that you can't determine the sex of your baby. Women only carry the X gene which is female. Men carry the X (female) and Y (male) genes in their sperm. So it all depends on which of your hubby or bf's sperm reach and fertilize your egg first. Sperm carrying the X gene swim faster.

There are no methods of sexual intercourse to ensure the babies sex. You need a doctor to take a sperm sample, select only sperm carrying the X chromosome and then have those implanted. However I don't know that it would be legal or moral in the U.S. but may be an acceptable procedure in Europe or Asia.
All other natural methods are not certain to produce female offspring.
Here are some things to try any way:
Male should wear body hugging briefs instead of boxers since it is his sperm that decides the sex of the baby(raise the testicular temperatures by 1 or 2 degrees decreases the number of Y sperm).
Sexual position doesn't actually matter but some web research might help you out.

To concieve a girl try having sex 2-3 days prier to ovulation and to concieve a boy have sex as close to ovulation as possible. The reason is that the girl sperm live longer but travel slower and the boy sperm die sooner but travel faster. 24 hrs prier to ovulation is the 50/50 mark. Over 24 hrs your chances go up to about 75%-80% chance of a girl. I know all of this because I read How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby by Shettles.

Try having sex with a different partner?

Seriously, though, the man is the one that determines the gender. Theories & myths abound about positions, times of day/week, etc. Frankly, outside of a laboratory, there's very little chance of having selection naturally, and even labs aren't guaranteed.

Try looking for books or online for more info.

No, gender is determined by the sperm. There is a 50/50 chance of getting a boy or girl every time no matter what you do when or in what position. Good luck!

Sure there is and there are positions that can gurantee the hair color of your child as well. And if you drink a lot of apple juice then your baby will be smart, orange juice and you kid will be attractive... of course I could be being a bit sarcastic.
