Live with your parents as long as you can take it. Save up money. It's the only way you will be able to survive later on in life.

I moved out of my parent's place at age 16. Lived with my cousins since then, until I turned 18. At age 17 I was already looking for a place of my own here in San Francisco. No roomates. 100% privacy. No one to tell me what to do around my place. If I want to throw parties, I'm free to do it, without my parents checking up on me all the time, or grounding me. According to my friends' comments regarding roomates, it's a very risky thing to do. Unless you know the person for years, you might end up having an irresponsible roomate. I love living on my own. I come home whenever I want to. My only companion is my cat...very good kitty.

I would rather live alone, or with some friends, but that's just me. It's not lame to want to stay with your parents for a while, earn some money, that kind of thing. But if you want to be independent and stuff you need to move out.

I would live with my parents for as long as I could in order to pay off my debt. You could also help your parents by paying them some rent so they too can get a benefit out of the deal. If you go to your own place, you'll have to pay rent anyway. You might as well get used to do it.

I preferred to stay with my Mom. Dad was dead. It was a financial advantage plus I got a cook and a maid thrown in for free. Such a deal. Couldn't pass that one up.
