What do you do if your passport hasn't come in the mail and you're going out of the country tomorow?

found out that the passport expired in may, and then i sent for it, but it still hasn't come. is there any thing else that i can bring?

If you have a passport office near you, try to schedule an appointment. Unfortunately, one day is not going to be enough time to get it - just call the office that is processing it to track the status.

No, particularly with the homeland security situation like it is. There is a number to call to check on your passport, like if it's in the mail or where in the process it is. I think you won't be leaving the country tomorrow.

You can't use other documents; you need evidence of the passport.

You can fill out a form and go to a local "acceptance agency", usually a local post office. (This is for reporting it as "lost"--you can say it's lost in the mail.)

it is depend on where you going Canada might still take birthcertificate. but mostly , you can't go.. .. you can go to FBI, or federal building --place that they do passport for you directly and waiting in line and do all the steps and get it done today..( if you have all the documents prepare) and you can pick it up tomorrow..usually in the morning.. I have it done before.. so it can be done.
