Does anyone dye nylon hose any more?

I'm looking for someone over 60 who remembers how we had to struggle for nylon hosiery during the 40's. There was a way to put all your mismatched hose in a pan of something like vinegar or salt or something and I think you heated it and all the stockings came out the same color. Sound familiar to anyone? Maybe someone reading this could ask their mother or grandmother.

I think they were using tea with the vinegar.Try it on aold pair.
