Is it also ironic that there would be no earth, heavens or humanity, if there were no God?

Correction, there would be less war, death and destruction if people followed their religons, but due to human imperfections such as impatience and pride ( which ironically got the devil kicked outta heaven) man tries to prove which religon is superior. If we look at the core of most religons, they preach peace and tolerance. It makes no sense to have a war based on whose god is better because if you truly believe your faith is correct then you should just be patient and behave and let your god decide. Without religon there would be anarchy as it is and there would end up being less war, death and destruction because there would be no human race.

It's not ironic because there are wars that have nothing to do with religion. And most of the wars that have occurred just used religion as an excuse while their true reasons were land, money and fame. Like the crusades.

Some conflicts/wars were over whose god was better. Very small fraction though. Most of the conflicts were because of human greed for money, power, resources, land, ethnicity etc, even though some of them used religion as a pretext.

Not ironic, but a lie.
No, most war is the selfishness of one over another.
You will notice, Hitler tried to do away with religion. What did he do...started World War II.
If you take a close look, those nations/rulers who oppress religious practice are pretty cruel to their own people.
Mao Tse Tung (China)
Kim Jung Ill ( N. Korea)
Soviet Union (Lennin / Stalin )
However, the first murder was over a religious practice. Cain killed his brother Abel because God accepted his brother's offering and not his. Abel's offering was to the specifications of God. Cain gave what was easy to give, thus it was not a sacrifice.

im buddhist and im peaceful. Now ima kill you biz-acth. kidding. Think about it, if America or the world were to tell everybody they cant believe in their religon no more. You think people wouldnt go crazy over that? Religon tells us how to live our life and if there was none we would all be living the same ways, no uniqueness boring. Imagine in shcool, you wouldnt learn anything from different point of views! Without Religion there would be no history.

Really? All the great mass murders of the 20th century were atheists: Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot.
I guess you could make the point that if there were only ONE world view (a.k.a. "religion") there would be less killing.
Serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer was an atheist too.
(Whoops! Your theory has failed miserably.)

You are absolutly correct. The majority of world warfare is created by religious and ethnic differences. Religion does more harm than good.

Let us say for a moment that all religion never existed.
Being human and given the alpha male/ beta male nature that we have.
We would develop something to fight about. It wouldnt be religion, but very well would be something else.
It is our nature to want to be on top, and we will fight about it and fight for it., whatever "it" might be.

i say focus on Jesus. He never invited anyone to follow a "Religion" or a Dogma, just get to know HIM.
Now would there be so much war if we asked WWJD?

Isn't it ironic, that no matter the culture, the time, the setting - there has always been religion?
