I'm a competition swimmer! I love it! Its tiring tho! I have always swam so my life revolves around my season.

I has been involved into swim team in a town next by where I live. But, Now I don't really swim anymore.

Interesting question.
Recreational swimming -- one person, the swimmer, plus a lifeguard.
Competitive swimmer -- the swimmer, the lane judge, the turn judge, the referee, the timer, the starter and the lifeguard.
Or are you just asking how many people who are on Yahoo are involved in swimming? If so, count me in as a competitive swimmer, a judge, and a lifeguard.

I swim just for fun. I mean I do swim 5 miles a day, but my family urges me to go into competitive swimming. I just do it as a hobby, though.

i am. actually i swim A LOT. like up to 10 two hour practices a week, plus whatever dryland training i do on my own. plus i am getting ready to start high school swimming next month, and im really pumped about that. should be a lot of fun.

i competitive swim for my school and at an out of school team which i think is really fun and helps you get fit well. i also lifeguard because of it like someone said before me.

I swim for my school...I snorkel in the Fl. keys like 5X a year...I'm a lifeguard because of swimming...it rocks...only bad part about it is that you can't breathe underwater

I used to be a competitive swimmer but, I gave it up because I didn't find it fun anymore.
