tmobile phones use sim cards that store your phone number and phone book. If you buy a tmobile compatible phone from somewhere online (like ebay) you just take your sim card out of your old phone and put it in the new.
If you're trying to buy from tmobile.com, you should log into My TMobile first because they will give you special deals on replacing your phone. Or call 611 for customer service.
