Most metropolitan cities across the U.S. are in desperate need of health-care specialists. At this point, depending on what your specialty is (doctor, nurse, LPN, etc.), you may be offered signing bonuses, student loan pay-off, and any number of perks.

Go out and check the medical field job listings... find a few that look interesting and give the facilities a call. Research areas that you think you might like to live. Don't make a hasty decision. But when you do make it.... enjoy!

South Africa.

I am a doctor in South Africa, and have worked with tons of Americans, Germans, Irish, who come here for the experience.

We have the only specialized "hand unit" in the southern hemisphere, which deals solely with the reconstruction and plastic surgery of hands after injuries.

People come here for the incredible amount of experience u get in gunshot and stab wound management, including surgery. We also see alot of diseases like cholera, meningococcal meningitis and polio ( current outbreak in Namibia, which borders South Africa). Also we see ALOT of HIV and AIDS - people at all stages of the disease with Kaposi's Sarcoma etc.

It really is a wealth of experience. Our medical schools and training are excellent. Its for that reason that the CIA are purposely seeing out South African doctors for their excellent knowledge on trauma management and so-called 'rare' diseases.

Depends on what you want out of it and what you bring.

If you are into geriatrics or something close: South Africa is nice.
Eye doctor: Turkey.

Canada is nice this time of year.

Washington state is NOT a good place for that, but if you are into geriatrics, Florida and Arizona would probably be great!
