What's a good mobile phase for removing phenols with basic alumina?

I assume you want a somewhat low polarity? Would EtOAc be ok?

Yes, a low polar solvent would be best. EtOAc might work. It's hard to know without knowing more about what two things are being separated. Phenol from what? It affects your solvent selection, by necessity.
