Yesterday I threw out the plants on either side and the bees just started swarming. My gardening gloves were vibrating when I looked down there were bees trying to get me. I have a dumpster for two more days and this is the only potted one left. It is very heavy you need two people to heave it into a wheel barrow. That means our faces will be pretty much stuck in the plant. Help me get rid of the bees so that I can get rid of the plant.

Spray the buggers at night with a foaming wasp insecticide. You can buy it at any hardware store. Try to spray the nest directly to kill as many as you can and if you do it at night or very early in the morning, they will be clustered and very slow.

Call a beekeeper. We are talking bees right? not some other striped critter? He will GLADLY help you for free (make sure he knows he will only get the swarm for his efforts)....get rid of the bees not the plant. At least I think not.

But if the swarm just landed there chances are they will move on by dawn. You could wait a day.

if you are in a safe area where you cant pour gasoline on it--tha will repel them-and if possible burn it. Do it in the evening when it is cooler and you should have less activity from the yellow jackets. good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
