Everytime I try to do it, a box comes up and says that the songs have a licensing error. I did what it said, but it still won't work! Apparently, I can only download songs from a CD.

It's not impossible!

I use yahoo music engine, too. I also transfer all my music to my ipod (ain't that cool)!!

I do this by using "Tunebite", it removes the copy-protection from the songs so you can use them however you want! Yay! Check it out:

The songs sound just as good even after you convert them using tunebite, that's usually a big concern for people. Yes, Tunebite costs something, but it's less than 20 dollars. It was the best 18 bucks I've spent in a while! It's sooo worth it!

Probably impossible due to DRM (Digital Rights Management).

Doesn't Yahoo Music Engine use a propriertary format and player? Click in the top right of their website on "Help" and open a help ticket with your question.
