Seems convenient that he dies right before he goes to prison and with all that money...........

I was watching the news last night and of course the thought did cross my mind that he might not really be dead. I sure felt guilty after that. I thought now what if he really is gone. I am sorry for his family and I'm sorry for the people that invested time and money and lost it all.

Well, he can't take the money with him, right?

Unless he didn't die & has a Carribbean bank account. Oh well. I guess I'm no help here.

Seriously, it would take a huge conspiracy to pull off a fake death when he was in police custody throughout most of the trial. In general, I don't believe conspiracies because the benefits/profits they offer almost never equal the huge costs involved. That's not to say that there aren't real conspiracies, but IMHO they are rare.

P.S. Apparently any ongoing seizure of Ken Lay's assets is vacated upon his death, thus freeing up his fortunes. Also, he is freed of any criminal conviction (since you can't have a crime without a criminal.) This might add a little more fuel to the conspiracy fires out there, I'm afraid:

Ockhams Razor says that the most likely explanation is normally the correct one.

The man was under extreme pressure for more than three years, and he was 64 years of age. He likely died of a massive heart attack

EGG-xactly! he paid some fat slobs wife a bunch of money so when her husband died he could use that body as his and fake his death, a little dental work and who would know? that way the wifey gets to keep the cash! he definitely had enough money to pull it off.

I think it is God's way of sparing him spending time in prison with a bunch of low life thugs. It was probably the stress that killed him and so his wife should take the people that convicted him to court for killing him.

Maybe the body should be viewed by all the Enron shareholder losers!

The thing that got my attention this most is that George W. didn't act like he was upset that his "Kenny Boy" had died. No grief signs that I saw at all.
He may well be dead but I find that strange.

I believe it. All of the stress from the trial, and knowing you are going to jail despite your millions. Not to mention thousands of people want you dead for scamming them out of their retirements.

Trust me, the coronor, the police, and the judiciary system was not fooled.

No, it's all a big conspiracy. He's hanging out with James Dean and Elvis this very moment.

I hope that we don't turn his death into a conspiracy theory with no way to proof otherwise.

I would simply say good riddance and move on.
