What can be done about states who sponsor terrorism (i.e Israel) ?
You mean the purpose of Israel going into Gaza was terrorism? That means you don't think Israel is justified in going after their soldier?
-An Israeli POW with Palestinians, valid and legal action.
BS. You have a guard at a checkpoint and he's kidnapped. That doesn't make him a pow. Israel had pulled it's troops out of Gaza. They were backing off.
-Israel act to punish 1.5 Millions in Gaza for that, using terror against them as mass punishment.
Did those 1.5 million people do anything to get the soldier released? If they did nothing they are accomplices. And attacking those who took the soldier is not terrorism.
-That would be same as a suicide bomber in Tel Aviv !
No it's not trying ot recover a victim of kidnapping is not the same a setting off a bomb in a pizza parlour.
-Punishing innocents for the act of few. What can be done to stop current Israeli terror against Palestinians ?
Again you use the word terror? If the Palistinians were terrorised they wouldn't be letting the people that took the soldier get away with it. They are more terrorised by Hamas than they are the Israelis.
I suppose you wouldn't do a thing is terrorists took one of our border guards.

Israel is defending itself.
The state of Israel was legally created out of the dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire at the end of World War I. The area was desolate, desert and swamp, with some small towns and a few inhabitants, many of them nomads. The inhabitants considered themselves mostly Syrian. The Balfour Declaration issued by the British, who were given the mandate over the area by the League of Nations. Jews have lived in the country since Biblical times. The Arabs from the surrounding areas were lured to "Palestine" by the industry and prosperity that the Jews brought to the region. Envy, hatred and religious fanaticism turned the Arabs against the Jews. In 1947, under pressure, the British resigned their mandate. The same year, the United Nations mandated partioning of the territory. The Jews, though disappointed, accepted the partition. The Arabs rejected it and launched war against Israel. The armies of five Arab countries invaded. Following the exhortations of the invaders, the Arab residents got out of the way hoping to return after victory was attained. They could then reclaim their property and that of the Jews, all of whom would have been killed or would have fled. Israel won. That and that alone is the source of the Palastinian "refugees". Had the Arabs accepted the UN partition plan, there would now have been a state of "Palestine" for the last 58 years. The might have attained a similar level of prosperity, advancement and development as Israel. 50% of Israel's population now includes refugees from Morocco, Algeria, Iraq and Yemen. All were accepted by Israel with open arms and have become successful members of their society. The Palestinians refused to integrate these refugees into their population and instead confined them to "refugee camps". The ones there are now fourth generation and through no fault of Israel.
Hey, here's an idea, why don't the Arabs get these 4th generation refugees and incorporate them into their society? 4th GENERATION?!? That would never happen in a developed nation, including Israel. It shows how incompetant the Palestinians are.

I don't know where you get your information from but I think you
should start paying attention to what is going on before you start
to make judgements because you have got it all wrong! This conflict, war, or whatever you call it is not just over a couple of
kidnapped soldiers! Do you even follow the U.N. Are you aware
of the resoultion that lebanon was under and was supposed to have followed up to 2 years ago I believe it was. It was to disarm the
terrorist army Hezbokallaw or however it's spelled. They were
to send their troops down to the border and it never happened.
Now they just want the Lebanese to follow the U.N's Resolution.
What is the point, if it is not followed. So then this happens. Two
soldiers are kidnapped and they are fired upon. Not even by the
countries government but by a terroist group running the country.
Man. I would be ticked and fight back to. They have every right to
be mad and defend there country! They were provoked! I hope they take the whole country out and show them a lesson! I also hope that Syria and Iran get involved ( because we know they already are anyways. They have troops on the ground and the
weapons are from Iran) and that the U.S. then blows them away!

One person's terrorist is another one's freedom fighter. Depends upon your perspective. Israel entering Gaza with tanks and planes and blowing stuff up sure would terrorize me if I lived there.
I am an Israeli citizen and although I don't agree with most of the things the govenment does, I want the State to survive any which way it can.
If the Western world would realize that the Palestinians are just doing the dirty work of the Arab and Persian nations that cannot attack Israel directly, then we would be much closer to peace.

I believe in order to get to the bottom of it all, it could take a very long time. The countries that strive on terrorism stems so deep and there are children brainwashed by these beliefs daily, which makes it seem like an impossible task. I think the governments of these countries need to be OVERHAULED. They need to go to the schools, they need to go to any place where men and woman work, children are and educate them. They need to know that living to kill isn't the best they can do. That may sound so maniacle, but that is what they know. Let them know that the people that are telling them to act out these crazy ideas are alive and are not involved in the act themselves. Wouldn't that tell you something if the person that is telling you to kill isn't doing the same. Why are they better? If there was a way to UN-BRAINWASH, then where is the head of the line?

Yikes - you're misinformed. Israel does not sponsor terrorism. Palestine may, but not Israel. Iran and Syria may, but not Israel.
And officially, the United Nations is really without any authority to act as a world police, so the only thing that can really be done (short of war) is to place serious economic sanctions on the country in hopes that it will change its ways.

THE FIRST THING is not being manipulated by the media: fears equals control.
Try to know the people next to you, understand their believes, because musulmans do NOT learn to kill, there's good and bad people everywhere: I guess I could say it was terrorism when the CIA helped to take down Allende from the presidency in Chile.
And if a country really sponsors terrorism, let's show probes first. And try a dialog: isn't it what U.S. tries to teach all the time (even with North Korea)?

well, in the recent war, Israel killed more than 300 Lebanon civilians.
and to me, the definition of Terrorist is: a person/ group/ government that use terror (terrorize others) to get what it wants.
I'm sure killing 300 people RANDOMLY (man woman kids), bombing public buildings (hospitals, airports) are also called terrorize others
but ur wrong: Israel doesn't support terrorism.
Israel (as a nation) is terrorist itself.
and we can do nothing about it. since Israel (the terrorist) is sponsored by the only superpower there is.

Israel Does not sponsor terrorism. What can be done to countries who sponsor terrorism is to cut them off from the rest of the world. Cut of trade, travel and Diplomatic Relations. As for your Miss information about Israel, Israel is exercising its right to defend its self against aggression. No one should doubt that. Plain and simple Terrorist want the International Community to do what it cannot ever do and that is to destroy Israel for them. then they move on to the next country and so on and so forth.

Militaristic Domestic Policy
1. Federal Education from K-12
2. Consignment upon Graduation
3. Invasion and Assimilation
Short and Simple:
These countries just need more swimming pools, 24 hour restaurants, and bowling alleys. American Imperialism can offer people the finer things in life, not to mention freedom.
