What is reality? All of us must search for the truth - not blindly accept things as they are. Even if our senses tell us one thing, and authority proclaims "This is the way things are" - it is up to us to discover the truth - and truth may be slightly different for each one of us.

God exists.
It is a fratile argument. Everything starts and ends with two things good and evil. In the middle things seem normal. At the ends it seems extreme. It is part of chaos theory. Things go from order to disorder. Two becomes many and many becomes two, over and over again, forming a fractile pattern that is the form of God. In the Matrix it starts with the Architect and the Oracle and it ends with Neo and Smith and then it begins again with the Architect and the Oracle. God in the Matrix would be the Source. As to Morpheus and the people outside the Matrix they are like the man who leaves Plato's cave having witnessed the truth and gone back in the cave, they are there to tell others that the Matrix is only part of the story, the source is a machine and not really God. It is one long allegory.
But now you have your moral. God exists.

Hi,
Please remember that we are talking about a movie. Not all movies have a moral objective, (aside from making the producers rich!) Having said that, many of the world's religions and philosophies teach that all existence occurs within the realm of thought. Everything you experience occurs within your mind. Most people never bother trying to learn how to operate within that realm, but are merely casual observers. Perhaps the writers of the original story wanted to remind us all in a very dramatic way, that we can all be like Neo, operating within the Matrix of our own minds. You are only limited by your imagination, and beliefs.

I would say that the moral is similar to that of Terminator III. Be wary of technology and don't let it overtake our lives. What happened to the world? Machines took over and captured humans. Same thing as T3 where all the robots killed humans and took over the planet.
The bottom line is eventually humans could create something so intelligent that it desires to conquer the human race. Then we are in deep sh!t.
Another moral is to remember how strong the human mind is. If we really used all our capacity for knowledge and power instead of constantly trying to invent things to make our lives "better", imagine our full potential. Instead we are creating things to do work for us, therefore rendering us lazy and weak.

It's filled with Biblical words, like; Zion, Trinity, Nebukanezzar. I have my own opinion, but I mostly liked the world created my the Matrix. The moral of the story depends on you. The "Oracle" told Neo to read the writing over the doorway in her kitchen and it read, "know thyself".
