Yes you can change the battery. I have two that I regularly use. There is even a utility that can allow you to change the battery easily with hibernating and then bringing it back up. It is two locks (switches basically) to change them out.

first go 2 the IBM web site an they`ll tell u were the battery is located an how 2 change it an you can even look up an see how much a new battery will cost. good luck

If it has a battery, it can be replaced. Turn it over and look for a small door with a screw or catch. It is an easy process. IBM has a good website that will show you how. Be prepared for sticker shock for the new battery.

Yes you can. The battery is replaceable. You just need to find an OEM version (cheaper) of the battery for sale online.

As for the price of the battery. You can go to eBay and Pricegrabber and enter your part number which is on the battery and see how much the battery typically goes for. Depending on the model it can range between $40 to $150.

the battery can always be changed, id consider upgrading the quality of the battery as much as you can so you have a longer battery life
