Condoms can help not spread these diseases. Birth control pills or shots or implants provide no protection against the spread of these diseases.
Some of the STD's are associated with birth defects and miscarriages as well as more serious consequences.

An STD is a sexually transmitted disease. There are several of them really, that is why it is best to use, protected sex, use a condom! You could get herpes, gonorrhea, chlamydia.........to name a few. Check out info. online, just google it or search it on yahoo. Its a sexually transmitted disease...means that its a disease you can get from having sex...like herpes or gonorrhea or hiv....if someone has a std...wear a condom...or don't have sex at all until its cleared up.
