y'know, no one really knows. in 1995, two teams made the observation that the expansion of the universe began accelerating about five billion years ago, and this requires astronomers to make more observations before astronomers can make reliable predictions about the future.

There are two theories as to how the universe will end. First is the "Big Crunch," which has the universe contracting to the size it was before the Big Bang. The second is the "Heat Death," which isn't technically an end at all, but has the universe keep getting larger and larger until eventually atoms are not able to bind together, so it just goes on existing devoid of any life. Of the two, the Heat Death creeps me out more.

Maybe yes maybe no. We need to know the overall density of the universe first (omega). If it's equal to the "critical density", then universe will continue expanding but after a very very very very long time it will stop. If it's higher, the unverse will continue expandind indefinitely, and it will become a huge void with stary radiation here and there and no sign of what we call matter. If it's lower then the universe will stop expanding at one point then start recollapsing into a singularity. Current evidence suggests that the first scenario is the most likely.

Time is cyclical and eternal. Time is not linear. Matter and time are deeply related. Thus matter is eternal. It has no end. The universe as scientist such as Einstein thought has a tendency to be spherical. You cannot find the end on a sphere.
We think "linear" when a straight line is non existent. Everything is spherical in the universe. Spheres do not have an end.

The universe doesn't end becaus of the massive things in it. Also something is always being created. If it did end What would end it, a glass wall? I think not

there is another theory about the univers that most people usually dont think about when it comes down to it. and that is the theory that the universe is an endless expance of space. that it just keeps going and going like an energiser battery. only difference is the battery will eventually wear out. but that theory states that there is an unlimited amount of matter, and forms of existance.

Hi,

I think the answer is not known precisely yet...
Some say it keeps on expanding... Others say our univers is just a 'loaf of bread' meaning there are other universes parrallel to us...
