Well it depends upon whether you want to have a child. For if you are using only the withdrawal method, as sperm can come out even before ejaculation can occur, then I would say if you want a child, continue on as a form of "birth control". However, if you seriously do not want a child, then you are using the wrong form of birth control. There is a high percentage of getting pregnant this way, especially where you are in your cycle, more fertile times, mid-cycle, leading to higher probablility of pregnancy. Also, if you don't want to become pregnant nor are you with your husband or the man who you are going to have a life with? THEN USE SAFE SEX! PROTECTED SEX! There is so much disease, killing of innocent, uninformed people out there, with no use of condoms/creams/jellies regardless of the latest shot, implant under the skin for birth control. If you can't afford condoms, there are clinics out there that can give them to you for free! Think before you act, it will save your life and the possibility of bringing a child into this world when you're not ready!Good luck!

My husband and I have been together for 6 years and have a 3 1/2 year old and are pregnant with our second. The method doesn't always work, so do not rely on it.

The only real way to prevent pregnancy (as well as protect yourself from STD's) is to use a condom. If you are not concerned with STD's, then make sure that the female partner is correctly taking birth control of some kind. It only takes a small amount of sperm in order to get pregnant. That small amount can be "released" before actual orgasm ever takes place making the withdrawal method a risky one!

women using the withdrawal method for one year, approximately 25% will get pregnant sometime during the course of that year. In fact, it is possible to get pregnant the very first time that you use withdrawal.

Honey, I think its sad that you don't know the answer to this question. Yes, you can get pregnant with the withdraw method. Why? because men have a pre-sperm that they release to help lubricate you when they are inside of you. Therefore if you are not using protection you can get pregnant.

I have been married for over a year. We have done nothing but the withdrawl method and occasional condoms. I got pregnant the first month actually trying (after 1 year of withdrawl). I miscarried, but hey, I was pregnant for a few weeks.

Also, I have always been aware of when I'm ovulating based on my cycles, so we were extra careful around those times, and less acreful the rest of the month.

I got pregnant with my first using the withdraw method. Use a condom and or use birth control there are different types of birth control you can take. If you want to avoid getting pregnant be smart about it.

My friend wasn't able to finish college because she and her boyfriend used the withdrawal method, now they have a 3 month old boy. It doesn't look like she's really into finishing school now, because she can't leave her son.

It's extremely likely that a girl will get pregnant on that method. Just because he doesn't "finish" inside of you doesn't mean that he didn't pre-***. It happens and they don't even feel it. Not a smart thing to do, so if you haven't tested it, don't. If you have then pray that you didn't mess up.
