She did not ask if you thought Kwanzaa was made up nor do I think she cares to hear that about a holiday she celebrates. Now just because many of you may have been alive (or your parents were) when the holiday was created doesn't make it any less valid for her. She asked if who celebrates the holiday, if you do not move on and don't answer because it's insulting and rude to do so. Christmas-made up, Chinese New Year- made up, Cinco de Mayo-made up, Yom Kippur-made up, Thanksgiving-made up, Fourth of July, Hanukkah ALL MADE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These holidays have significance to many people because they celebrate concepts near and dear to many. Just because your grandparents' grandparents' great grandparents' weren't even thought of yet doesn't mean the older holidays any more valid for the millions who celebrate these holidays.

Kwanzaa is not a racist holiday! At least one of ur responders ignorantly said that. She's not available for an e-mail response. Her answer is based on ignorance, though.

Why is anything pro-us seen as anti-everybody else... especially when pro-others is not seen as anti-everybody else?

Happy Sabbath.

Pity. Kwanzaa is a made-up holiday. It didn't exist until the mid-1960s-- 1968, I believe. It's pure phoniness.

I used to know someone who also states it's a made-up holiday. What an idiot LOL

All holidays are created at some point. Someone made Christmas up too..of course only to overshadow the Pagan celebrations.

not me.
i stick to the core holidays.
Halloween, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Mother's Day
oh yeah... and before my wife reads this... Valentine's Day
They're all either made up by the greeting card companies or celebrations of old pagan traditions, but who cares? it's fun
