I would have to borrow from Steve Martin's "The Jerk":

"I was born a poor, black child in the South"

I have always loved that movie, and it gives a whole new perspective on your life story to begin with something completely fabricated.

(BTW, this is one of the best questions I have seen in here. very creative.)

He was alone, thinking of the past, thinking of the future, lost today, when he discovered the secret to happiness. He tried to tell someone, but they dismissed him as a blind optimist, then he became smarter, he thought clearer, his happiness began to attract him friends, he was found, he stopped thinking the way he used to. Suddenly, years later, he forgot the secret to happiness, he began to ask his friends questions that would help him find happiness, but they didn't listen to him when he told them about the secret to happiness so they said whatever they thought they knew about happiness, but they kept leading him in the wrong direction. He soon began to obsess trying to find the secret again. He tried to recreate things that he knew had once given him happiness, but they felt fake. He only talked to his friends about refinding happiness, they thought he was acting very strange, they stopped calling him. He stopped thinking clearly, his work started to suffer, he began to lose money. He was alone, thinking of the past, thinking of the future, lost today, when he discovered the secret to happiness. He wrote it down this time.

This would be my intro, if you just heard the first sentence it wouldn't really mean much. But i do believe you have inspired me to write an autobiography one day.
