ugh, i hate wayne rooney. just looking at that guy makes me mad. he definitely needs to be reprimanded. he should be booted out of man u.

wow an Argentinian and a Portugese person who doesn't like Rooney, I'm shocked.
How about this Messi is crap otherwise he'd be starting over Saviola.
And Ronaldo would be good if the laws of gravity didn't affect him differently to everyone else, and for some reason continuosly suck him to the floor.
As for Rooney, he should be supported by the FA, because he did nothing wrong (he may of been stupid for not walking away) but Carvalho was lying underneath him, and gravity is going to make Rooney land somewhere, and he barely touched Ronaldo (Ricardo shoved Crouch at least twice as hard ten minutes later)

It's amazing to me how many of you people are defending Wayne Rooney as if he never had any history of outbursts. The English needs to get over Rooney and realize he is NOT your 'savior', nor is he your answer to a poor tournament record for the past 6 decades. He is guilty as charged, and you guys need to get over it. If it was the other way around, Ricardo Carvalho would be run out of England for stepping on your player the same way Rooney stepped on him...

No - he says it was an accident, so the FA should back him - and the other players was sliding in behind him, what is he supposed to do, just stand there with his foot suspended in the air, he had to put it down somewhere.
Come on Lola P and Atomin, I may not agree with you on some things, but I thought you were both sensible people - why would Man U throw one of their top assests out and everyone knows martians do not exist!

The reason why Rooney is such spoil brat is because the English Fan encourage him to be. They must help him grow up & always support his childish temper.
With all that done he will surely be in the rank of Pele.

No... you can clearly see that it was an accident... afterall he was fighting off 3 players at once. accidents do happen! besides he said he didn't do it on purpose.... i think people should lay off Rooney about it. he's young, give him time to grow into a great player.
