How do you know there IS one? Since we can't prove it exists now, I don't think much would change.

You mean no religion...rejoice the world is peaceful and humans live respecting one another and the environment! The inherent flaw in the religious risk/reward model...heaven and hell is that we live in the here and now. I am not fearful of some judgement sending me in either direction I am more fearful of being judged by society as being a criminal, wrongdoer, or just a bad person in the here and now. The other issue with the model is that it allows one to blame God for wrong action or inaction...God made me do this or that or God didn't inspire me to this or that. FLAWED system that has outlived its usefulness as a means of control. Yes CONTROL...that's what religion--heaven, hell, and "afterlife" are all about.

How do you know there is a heaven or afterlife, since you are here now?
I don't think I would live any differently than I do now

It wouldn't be any different at all. I don't see what difference those beliefs would have on how I live my life. I don't believe in heaven, as in the stereotypical image of heaven but, after sitting with several people as they have passed away, I definitely struggle with the idea that our spirits have nowhere else to go after our physical life ends here on earth.

Life would be more peaceful because people would not be arguing over religion and many wars would have been avoided. My personal life would be no different, except for prayer. I am not nice to people only because I want to get into heaven but because it is the right thing to do.

My life would be different here on earth by not having much hope really. I would be afraid to die. My faith here on earth might be different. I would grieve differently when loved ones died. Lot's would be different. Good thing there will be heaven!
