Does anyone have any good ideas for a music related tattoo? Or links to a site that might help me w/ some ideas? Thanks.

I was thinking of maybe an old record player sorta thing...or a winged guitar ...or maybe the rolling stones tongue....

I breifly dated a guy who has a bar of sheet music tattooed around his upper arm.
I thought that was a great idea.
Other suggestions for music related tattoos... hmm.. I would not suggest geting band name or symbol tattooed. That might not be so cool in a few years. getting the instrument you play tattooed might be an idea. Depending on how big you are looking to go for your tatt, you could combine alot of your ideas into "one tattoo"
have music notes/bars coming out of the guitar and winding around other objects and then trailing into an LP record.. like as if it was recording it.
look through books/magazines .. talk to you artist.. talk to your friends. Im sure you will come up with something nice.

A guy friend of mine wants to get a bass clef on one wrist and a treble clef on the other. The coolest music tattoo I've seen for a shapely woman are the "S" holes from a violin in black just in the right places on her mid/lower back. Another cool one would be a tiny line of music notes down the back of a girl's legs to look like stocking seams. (You could put a staff around the thighs, like the top of the stockings, so it looks cool with a swimsuit...or without a swimsuit. (I've seen a similar look done with a tiny line running down and a spider at the achilles heel- looks great with skirts!)

Things I've seen that look cool... a bass cleff on a guy's shoulder... an eighth-note with the tail on fire, one of those tribal pipe playing immages. I've also seen Led Zeplin tattoos... too many.

something music related might be cool. but please don't get a band's name or logo. that's like getting somebody's name. u might love them now, but a few years from now it might be some kind of "what the hell was i thinking and what the hell happened to them?!" type of thing

i dont know of any websites... but my friend was gonna get a music note... he disigned it himself.. and it was the sickest thing... very nice.
