shouldn't we try to help each other instead of acting like we're all rivals or something? it's bad enough trying to deal with men lol, without us women stabbing each other in the back! (and yes i'm slightly bitter! well, more bewildered really)

JEALOUSY! I believe that some women are so jealous of others accomplishments or lives that they feel the need to step on top of them to make themselves feel better. Its absurd really that we can't come together and protect each other.

I think that it is because some women are in constant competition for a man. I have had a number of friends in my life whose behavior would change whenever a man came around. The focus and tone of the conversation would change. Many times women will stab each other in the back for a man or over a job. Mostly over men though.

Because some women deserve it!
When a 'nasty, disloyal type of woman', stabs us in the back we feel that urge to exact revenge etc. by acting the same, until it becomes a vicious circle, with people stabbing first & thinking later in order to be 'one up'.

.i know what you mean, you never find men doing this,why do women find the need to compete with each other and back stab,, you know guys, women don't just dress nice for you [men],, its to impress other woman,, that's where the guys have got it all right.. they don,t find the need to impress each other, so no need to *****. woman are , our own worse enemies,, woman of the world unite. don,t slag off, that lovely gorgeous woman/gal.. give her a compliment. it.s not her fault.. it makes her feel good.. in turn that makes you feel good because you,ve made someone happy. being a woman should,nt be about rivalry, it's being confident enough to except what we are, regardless of shape / age/looks. men can do this, so why can't we

It's usually terretorial and usually involves men or position in a group. When they feel threatened, which can be an imagined threat, they attack. I don't think there's much you can do about it apart from remain your true sweet self and don't rise to these, as the other answerer said, 'female dogs'.

Women are very Jealous and envious!!! I have friend and relative that have tried to take my boy friend. It's only because they see what a great relationship that we have.
