Daycare would be my first choice. What about house cleaning.....get a couple of friends and start advertising. Have one friend stay with the children while the other two clean. Then rotate to make it all fair.

Think of all your interests & ask yourself if any of those could be expanded into a business. Just keep in mind...what's your expertise? What are your interests? What could you imagine yourself doing?
By researching the prospect of starting your own business -- what it entails, what you need to know, helpful hints, etc -- you'll feel better prepared to take that plunge.
I found some book titles that are relevant to your specific question:
* 101 Internet Businesses You Can Start from Home by Susan Sweeney
* The Best Home Businesses for the 21st Century by Paul Edwards
* Selling Online: How to Become a Successful E-Commerce Merchant by Jim Carroll
* I Could Do Anything If I Only Knew What It Was: How to Discover What You Really Want and How to Get It by Barbara Sher
* I Don't Know What I Want, But I Know It's Not This: A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding Gratifying Work by Julie Jansen
* The Best Internet Businesses You Can Start by Marian Betancourt
* The Shoestring Entrepreneur's Guide to Internet Start-Ups by Robert Spiegel
* Making a Living Without a Job : Winning Ways For Creating Work That You Love by Barbara Winter
I also posted some article links in the source box.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

I have three kids and not much to invest myself, so I can relate. You can open an online store or check out other options online, be careful for scams though. I found this link where I get paid to click on sites and read my own emails just for the information it offers and I have found lots of information for the type of business I actually wanted to start. This is honest money and free information. You are not required to buy anything.

i'm a single father. my two sons are 19 & 22, both empolyed. THANK GOD!!! i understand. you will probally get a lot of e-bay answers. since i have a soft spot for those like us. i will give some specifics that i think will be a perfect niche for you. my mother has been in the antique business many years. she just closed her last store and sells exclusivly on e-bay and checking into other sites. she does a lot of reasearch on e-bay. used (new) clothing with the store tags attached, especially children's clothing, sells well on e-bay along with other clothing. when she is out making her rounds for antiques and colletibles at yard sales, estate sales, thrift stores, etc. she keeps her eye out for clothing. designer ties, also sell well. you can buy this stuff cheap and sell for a very good profit. but do your homework reaserch e-bay first and know what sells. you will make some mistakes along the way, even she does, but if you only pay 25 cents to a few dollars you can rarely lose. you'll at least get your money out of it. if this not an area that is off intrest to you do some reaseach and you will find something. BUT YOU HAVE TO KNOW YOUR STUFF TO MAKE A LIVING AT IT, BUT YOU CAN DO IT!!! good luck - oddyerdy

you are 21 but you need to find out what you are good at doing or what you like doing. I know the obvious thing would be to say you should start an in home babysitter business but some people dont really like that.
well think about what you like doing or what you are good at doing, but if you need ideas, there is a website that has a lot of different ideas for starting a home business
here is the link

Daycare sounds good, or how about catering if you can cook. Try making cookies & breads, wrap them with a nice label, and sell them to your local coffee shops. Cleaning offices is another idea - easier than people's houses. Also, pet sitting & dogwalking if you live in a big city. Don't give up and don't sell your body! Be creative and good luck!
