Yes,but at the same time no.Yes because, Parents tell their kids to be honest with them to have that relationship, but when the time comes its not what the parents want to hear by saying that comment was dissrespectful. But the is just trying to be honest, now that creates convusion on the kid.Soon they'll be like saying i'll only tell them this stuff the things that they'll want to hear.Cuz they don't want their parents disaggree with them for what they did or the way they think. No, Cuz you kinda gotta understand that maybe they don't know how to deal with this kind of situation, but a parent is NOT going to admit that.If something goes wrong their stund, stuck like quick sand no matter how hard they try they won't be able to get back up because this is the first time it happend. If the kid has a problem and tells the parent their just sayin their opinion, and sometimes the parent thinks about that conversation and says i don't know what to do,their parents or who ever took care of them raised them different and thats how they know how to deal with problems.

Conditioning in the early childhood is beneficial to protect us from permissiveness which is inimical to us.Once the child develops the faculty of discrimination he needs no further conditioning. The problem arises only when parents try to possess a child with discrimination to conform them just because he is born to them and their body age is more than his.Intelligence is nothing to do with the body age.So at one time conditioning which is very important in human growth,is inimical at another stage of human development and unfoldment of intrinsic love.

As a mother myself I believe that for the most part parents do the best they can do at the time to raise their children, and yes sometimes lack of skills or there are extreme cases of cruelty parents do create problems for their children, most of us (I believe have "stuff" that can be traced to our upbringing) However your question is rather vague,I hope this helps.

If your parents are narcissistic, that can cause major problems for children and when the children grow up. It will be passed down through generations unless someone grabs ahold of the reins and stops it.

Not all of us parents do.
Its a hard Job... For most of us it the first time at this parent thingy, Same as it is your first time at the Kid thing.
We make mistakes all the time but we keep trying to get it right.

For example?

Parents, basically, have one job -- to lead their children to adulthood, and then launch their children off to build their own nests.

Parents still have their own lives to work out. Often, they still have their own marriage which should be their top priority -- and the kids should be required to understand that.
